This is the first non-stop flight ever from a major U.S. gateway to Madeira directly, which will operate once a week on Mondays starting November 29, 2021.

Madeira is the only airport in Portugal that accepts the U.S. vaccination card provided by the CDC. Travelers that are not vaccinated can also visit Madeira by presenting a negative PCR test performed 72 hours or a rapid antigen test performed 48 hours prior to boarding.
