Nancy Danino: Sultry Voice, Global Reach
Born in Israel and raised in France, Nancy Danino has enchanted audiences worldwide with her sultry voice, from film soundtracks to Scandinavian pop hits.
Her career began in 1999 with YELLOW PRODUCTION on the Psychodelico album (Bob Sinclar). Techno artist SNOOZE discovered her and invited her to record vocals for his first album on Crammed, leading to two albums and a European tour. She also performed the main theme for Tokyo Eyes, a Nouvelle Vague film showcased at Cannes.
In 2002, Nancy collaborated with Sweden’s pop sensation KENT, producing a duet that topped Scandinavian charts for over six months. A meeting with the Eclectic team (Anders Hansson and Johan Åberg) sparked a long-term songwriting partnership.
In 2004, Nancy recorded a French-English duet with Irish artist Perry Blake, which held the number three spot on Ireland’s singles chart for eight weeks. She continued collaborating with French and international artists, including DJ SHAZZ, Marc Collin (Nouvelle Vague), and Olivier Marshall (Partir), performing alongside artists like Juliette Lewis, Cibelle, Yael Naim, and Sky from Morcheeba.
In 2007, Nancy moved to New York City to finish her personal album, working with songwriters Jeff Cohen, Jeff Franzel, Cliff Goldmacher, and Tom Kimmel. Leaving her European electronic roots behind, she crafted an intimate, timeless collection of original songs.
Nancy founded her own label and performs regularly in NYC at venues such as The Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, Greenhouse, The Box, Drom, and The Cutting Room.
